So I do get to update, that's good. The time for my arrival in Atlanta is still below on the August 11th entry, so don't forget about that.
Alls I gots to says is that Mr. Beau "Lank" Russell and Mr. Andrew "Chops" Pritchett Ph.D are on the front page of the local Chinese newspaper due to our stellar performance in the Kuching Parade last week. We played our part well. That part was basically that of Malaysian pirates. Shiver me timbers, we were good.
Also, if you're wondering why I've mentioned myself as "Chops" that's due to my J-team name that was bestowed upon me today by my boss, Rob Adams. Chops is descriptive of yonder facial hair that I've possessed all summer, and also descriptive of my personality. The latter is a long story/explanation, so axe me about that one in person.
Kids, I've got 3 nights left in Malaysia. I gotta tell you that I'm excited. I look forward to seeing all of you who read this and have kept up with my shenannigans (spelling?) this summer. I'm gonna miss this place when I'm gone, but I'm excited to see all my brothers and sisters from home and school again. Especially those that are named Payton and Peter. I'm excited to see what Dad's going to do this year in all of our lives. I'm just plain excited.
I know that this whole thing isn't all that well written, so if you were looking for good authorship here, I suggest you navigate to a different site.
Finally, to address a concern. I'm very thankful that Ms. Kayla Foster for her advice not to go outside due to the excess amount of smoke in the air in Malaysia. For those of you who do not know of this concern, I shall explain. Every August the farmers in Sumatera, Indonesia practice slash-and-burn style techniques to clear land. Due to strong winds, the smoke from this large number of fires is blown to the Malay peninsula. This smoke is a huge health concern. It descends on Malaysia like a gargantuan fog. There is so much of it that in some places there is only 10 meters of visibility on the roads. Fortunately, I am currently residing on Borneo, which is Sumateran smoke free. Thank you, Kayla, for looking out for me.
Also. . .
